Since our Feedback Event of the 2015 Survey Results at the Mud Pie Café in January, the work of the Neighbourhood Plan Core Team has moved to become much more technical planning oriented. We have:
- Appointed consultants to carry out a Housing Needs Assessment for the Parish.
- Developed criteria for assessing potential building sites, based on National Planning Policies and the North Dorset Local Plan.
- Held workshops to apply the criteria to the 10 potential building sites that had been advised to North Dorset District Council by 2012.
- Arranged meetings with developers and landowners to feedback the results of the workshops.
- Written a number of sections of the Neighbourhood Plan, in early draft form.
We now must make sure that there are no further sites over and above those on the NDDC Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (2012), that landowners would want to offer for development by way of a Call For Sites.
Any landowner wishing to offer a parcel of land for development should email the Parish Council via the Parish Clerk (Sandra Deary – telephone no: 01258 484370) at okefordfitzpaine@dorset-aptc.gov.uk. The email should include the following information:
- Site name
- Site address
- Site plan (showing ‘red line’ boundary around the site)
- Ownership
- Site area in hectares
- Expected number of units and usage (residential/employment/mixed)
- Timescale for development i.e. available now or at some time in the future
- Any barriers to delivery e.g. legal issues, land contamination etc.
And also contact details of the landowner submitting the site for consideration. The email should arrive by no later than Tuesday 31st May 2016.
